At around 2 p.m. the sirens wailed in Miesbach: emergency services were called to the Waldeckersteig.

A gas line was damaged during construction work.

Miesbach –

After the siren, which alerted emergency services around 2 p.m., the fire brigade and police gathered at a house on the Waldeckersteig in Miesbach.

As the Miesbach Police Inspectorate reported when asked, an excavator driver had caught a “small gas line” at a construction site there.

"There was a minimal gas leak," confirms a police spokesman.

However, the gas was shut off immediately.

"There was no danger." The operation was over by 2:20 p.m.
