With his crossing for the Gault&Millau, Christian Jürgens is no longer at the gourmet top of Bavaria.
The Rottacher restaurant was relegated to second place.
Rottach-Egern
- With his crossing, star chef Christian Jürgens is no longer unchallenged at the gourmet top of Bavaria.
At least when it comes to the latest edition of Gault&Millau.
Instead, the renowned restaurant guide lifted the Luce d'Oro in the five-star Hotel Schloss Elmau - in other words, where heads of state and government from important industrial nations will meet for the G7 summit from Sunday (June 26) - to number one among the top restaurants in Bavaria .
The restaurant received a four out of five possible red chef's hat rating.
There were also four hoods for Christian Jürgens-but in gray, which means a evaluation category among the red hoods.
In the previous edition in 2020, Jürgens was able to defend his top position in a Bavarian comparison.
The associated Gault&Millau assessment also sounds less than flattering for the Rottach star chef this time: “By the way, the timeless interior with its atmospheric photographs of the lake has aged well, which also – sorry for this bon mot – applies to Christian Jürgens, the 53-year-old from Unna “, It says.
