The crime scene team from Franconia has to cope with an unexpected exit.

Andreas Leopold Schadt will no longer appear as Commissioner Fleischer.

Nuremberg – It is a big building block that is now breaking away from the investigative team from Franconia: Andreas Leopold Schadt is giving up his role as Commissioner Sebastian Fleischer.

The character was popular, and Fleischer's attempts to flirt with his colleague Wanda Goldwasser – played by Eli Wasserscheid – made the audience laugh.

The fact that the collaboration is now ending saddens the makers of the Franken crime scene.

Franconia crime scene: Surprising exit from Andreas Leopold Schadt

In an interview with BR, Schadt justified his decision to leave the Franconian homicide team: He was "not so satisfied" with his assignment.

After several discussions and considerations, Schadt therefore decided to leave.

The Upper Franconian, born and raised in Hof, now wants to look for new challenges.

Surprising news for BR crime scene editor Stephanie Heckner.

She regrets Schadt's decision, would have liked to have had the character in the team longer, according to BR.

Finally, Heckner thanked the eight crime scenes from Franconia in which Schadt had played and wished the actor all the best for the future.

You understand that he is looking for new challenges, says Heckner.

Off for Commissioner Fleischer at the Franken crime scene: was the team too big?

A somewhat bland aftertaste resonates with the departure of Andreas Leopold Schadt, not only because of his convincing enthusiasm for the game, which delighted the audience.

Because it can be read from the actor's reasoning that he is leaving because of the screen time that he believes is too short.

Some characters would get more or less screen time due to the large acting ensemble at the Franken crime scene, according to BR.

And the cast is indeed a large one: In addition to Schadt and Wasserscheid, Matthias Egersdörfer can also be seen as the head of forensic investigation, Michael Schatz, and Dagmar Manzel and Fabian Hinrichs as chief inspectors.

Dividing the screen time evenly among the actors would lead to many sidelines, from which the main story would suffer, writes the BR.

The character of Sebastian Fleischers will not be replaced one-to-one, Schadt's portrayal was too striking for that.
