British airline EasyJet announced the cancellation of thousands of flights this summer, after many airports reduced their capacity as a result of the lack of staff and flight staff against the background of restrictions imposed due to the Corona virus pandemic.
And Reuters news agency quoted the company as saying that its capacity to operate flights decreased by about 90 percent during July, August and September, down from the 97 percent that was scheduled last month.
The company added: This shortage is due to the narrow labor market for cadres, as security checks for new employees take 14 weeks instead of 10 previously, in addition to the restrictions imposed on bringing European employees as a result of Britain's exit from the European Union.
And many European companies and airlines sacked thousands of employees when the Corona virus pandemic began, leaving them unprepared to deal with re-order after the lifting of ban and closure restrictions.
It is noteworthy that the shares of EasyJet fell to its lowest level in twenty months by 3 percent, which greatly reduced its flexibility.
