The Speaker of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin confirmed that Ukraine does not meet any of the criteria for candidacy to join the European Union.
Today, TASS news agency quoted Volodin as saying via Telegram: “Ukraine does not meet any of the criteria for joining the European community, not even being granted a candidacy to join the European Union, citing total corruption in it, along with rampant crime and the country's devastated economy.
Volodin added: “Europe is well aware of this, but its desire to weaken Russia is stronger,” pointing out that the West is failing to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian, and this is why Washington and Brussels are ready to do their best to maintain the course of the military operation, as well as the decision to grant Ukraine a candidacy for the Union. Europe also stems from it.
Volodin indicated that there is a sad fate awaiting Ukraine, as the decision will be taken officially in Brussels and the country will lose all its sovereignty.
Yesterday, the European Commission recommended granting Ukraine the status of a candidate country to join the European Union, a decision described by Moscow as being manipulative.
