Royal family conflict: William and Harry avoid each other

Fans have been waiting for a sign of rapprochement for a long time, but when William and Harry last met a few weeks ago, the distance between them was palpable - and visible.

At the throne jubilee service for Queen Elizabeth II (96), William and Harry sat in different blocks of seats, accompanied by their wives Kate Middleton (40) and Meghan Markle.

A short time later, the Sussexes made their way back to California.

A clarifying discussion that could pave the way for reconciliation is said not to have happened during their short visit to England.

"Harry went too far": Prince William's anger at his brother has not gone away

Williams' relationship with his younger brother is said to remain strained.

The fact that Prince Harry shares intimate details from his life in the palace with the world public – Prince Harry's memoirs are due to be published this year – should go against the grain of the future heir to the throne.

As a source close to the Duke of Cambridge confided to Daily Mail royal expert Rebecca English, Williams' feelings are currently on a roller coaster.

"He's tossing and turning and grieving for what he's lost and really, really angry about what his brother did.

[...]

But he believes that there are things that you just don't do.

And Harry 100% went too far,

" the insider revealed to English.

The reconciliation is a long time coming: William and Harry still have a lot of work to do

The fact that Prince Charles (73) in particular suffered from the behavior of his youngest son and was injured made it difficult for William, according to another friend.

However, a reconciliation is not entirely out of the question.

"He [William] wants to see Harry happy and if he [Harry] stops stirring up dust then maybe he'll find a way to forget and forgive," predicts an anonymous source.

Bridging their differences, however, could take a few more years.

A personal face-to-face conversation would be an important step in the right direction, even if the royal couple is currently limited to video calls.
