An apparently demented man (82) kept the Bad Wiessee police on their toes.

Not only had he forgotten where his car was, but also that it was no longer registered.

Rottach-Egern

– According to the police, an 82-year-old man from the Traunstein district called the Bad Wiessee inspection on Tuesday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. and said that he was in Rottach-Egern and no longer knew where he parked his car have.

A patrol from the Bad Wiessee inspection drove the gentleman from the surrounding parking lots and finally found the car in a supermarket parking lot in Rottach-Egern.

Community stickers instead of registration plates

However, the man had not only forgotten where the car was parked, but also that the car had been canceled the day before by police officers in his presence due to lack of insurance cover and was therefore no longer registered.

Without further ado, the pensioner attached stickers from a municipality to the license plates instead of the registration plaques and made his way to Lake Tegernsee.

The officers seized the license plates.

The man has his car back, but had to find another way home.

In addition, criminal proceedings await him for an offense against a document and for violating a license.
