The Syrian Medical Society and Al-Yamamah Charitable Society, with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), carried out a health activity in the Faculty of Law in Al-Hasakah city to support the second intensive national campaign for vaccination against the Corona virus and an awareness seminar that will last for three days targeting the university’s scientific, student and administrative staff.

Al-Hasakah Health Director Dr. Issa Khalaf said in a statement to SANA reporter that the health activity is accompanying and supporting the national vaccination campaign to reach all target groups, as the directorate participated today in mobile teams to give the vaccine to those who have not taken it yet and to complete the doses for those who took the first dose.

Khalaf explained that the Health Directorate, in cooperation with charitable and civil societies, is carrying out a set of health awareness activities on the importance of taking the vaccine, as it reduces the risks of infection with the virus by increasing immunity, especially that vaccines are safe and free and have proven effective, calling on all target groups to review health centers and cooperate with mobile teams to vaccinate them with the vaccine.

For her part, a member of the Board of Directors of the Syrian Medical Society, Dr. Samar Al-Somai, indicated that the society, in cooperation with the Al-Yamamah Association and the mobile teams of the Health Directorate, will continue for three days to spread awareness of the importance of the vaccine through seminars and give the vaccine to the largest possible number of target groups, including cadres and students of the faculties of the Euphrates University. In Al-Hasakah for the participation of the Health Directorate in achieving greater benefit and comprehensive coverage for all targets.

In addition, the Al-Hasakah Health Directorate continues its national vaccination campaign, which began on the 19th of this month, through 230 health cadres distributed among health centers and mobile teams to cover rural areas and population centers that do not have fixed centers.
