As the "Daily Mail" reports, the five beehives were stolen on the night of June 12th.
Lead beekeeper Guy Barnes tells the British newspaper that each hive contains 80,000 bees and that removal and transport requires expertise and a large vehicle.
So only an expert, i.e. a colleague, can be responsible for the theft.
When it gets too warm in the summer, the bees have their own air conditioning system in the hive.
In addition, everything indicates that the thief is very close.
Because otherwise the bees would not have been able to fly home by themselves.
Assistant beekeeper Kathrin Barnes tells the Daily Mail: "If bees go less than a mile away, they go back to where they were before.
They'll probably all come back if they chase a scent, that's our hope."

The tire tracks on the lawn are the only evidence that could convict the perpetrator.
Guy Barnes told the Daily Mail: "Maybe it was for the money, but I don't know.
Unfortunately, my gut feeling tells me it's another beekeeper.” Police believe the beehives were stored at a site nearby after the theft, but the bees are now returning of their own accord.
Karma?
In any case, it was pretty stupid for the thief.
