Britain arrested: London Underground workers go on strike | Israel today

2022-06-21T08:24:51.552Z

For the first time in 30 years the UK train system has been halted • The reason: the cost of living and rising inflation that have led to wage erosion • The UK fears more sectors will join the struggle

Unprecedented 30-year-old paralysis in Britain's railways:

4,000 workers at UK rail companies - including the London Underground - went on strike today (Tuesday) despite feverish attempts to find a compromise in recent days, and there appears to be significant concern that more sectors will be added.

Rail Rail Company and 13 other railway companies in which the unions have decided to stop providing services due to the high cost of living and rising inflation that have led to their wage erosion in a way that unduly harms them.

The London Underground strike is largely linked to cuts made to the workforce.

Either way, the strike comes at a busy time in the UK anyway, with millions of students preparing for their matriculation exams and many being forced to improvise other ways.

At the same time, airlines are also collapsing under the increasing load of passengers who want to take advantage of the upcoming summer vacation.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson is currently unwilling to meet the demands of railway companies, which demand a significant increase in workers' wages that is almost identical to a rise in inflation.

He said, "Day laborers in the public sector should be rewarded, but the increase in wages should be proportionate and balanced," as he said continued public spending would only exacerbate the problem of wage erosion.
