At the same time, it has also subsidized the study of nursing courses in self-financing institutions through the "Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP)", so the number of graduates has continued to increase in recent years.

In addition, the Education Bureau has also selected four degree programmes to participate in the Applied Degree Programme Pilot Scheme in 2020, including a Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) programme.

The applied degree program focuses on cultivating applied skills, combining theory and practice, and providing a large number of internship and workplace learning opportunities, which shows the government's emphasis on nurse training.

In addition to the five-year program, the two-year enrolled nurse program can be regarded as a "fast track" to enter the nursing profession.

Many self-financing institutions and hospital nursing schools also have related courses.

After becoming an RN, aspirants can take the RN Conversion Course.

The HA will also provide subsidy to enrolled nurses with good performance, who can become registered nurses after successful study. It can be seen that the nursing course is very attractive.
