Daraa’s seed multiplication continues to receive wheat and barley from farmers

The branch of the General Organization for Seed Multiplication in Daraa continues to receive wheat and barley crops from contracting farmers, according to procedures and facilities to speed up the marketing and receipt processes and pay the incentive price provided by the state.

The director of the branch, Engineer Samer Al-Zamil, stated in a statement to SANA reporter today that the branch, in parallel with the season of receiving wheat from contracted farmers, continues to sterilize and sieve the marketed wheat before storing it in warehouses to protect the crop from insect infections and to ensure that the seeds are secured for farmers with the required specifications.

The branch manager indicated that the marketed quantities of wheat seed reached 2407 tons to date, and 136 tons of barley.
