Double trouble in Munich: disruptions in the mobile phone and subway network - "People rely on it"

Subway customers have to be patient again.
On the one hand, because U3/U6 are canceled again due to construction work, on the other hand, because the Internet on the trains is currently looking bad.
Double trouble for subway users in Munich.
On the one hand there are problems with the mobile network, on the other hand U3/U6 commuters have to be prepared for interruptions again.
The Munich transport company (MVG) announced on Tuesday that the operator of the access points for mobile phone coverage in the underground network is currently converting the devices by the beginning of July.
"This is probably due to failures in the cell phone network," says a spokesman.
In an application, the SPD in the city council calls on the operator Vodafone to rectify the faults immediately.
The reason for the outages is apparently conversions to the network infrastructure for the switch from 4 to 5 G. O2 users in particular are affected.
"Surfing the Internet on public transport is now part of everyday life," says SPD City Councilor Lars Mentrup.
“Many people rely on having network in the subway.
We call on those responsible to rectify the network disruptions immediately and to ensure that the disruptions are rectified very quickly in the future."
Meanwhile, disruptions are also taken care of at Sendlinger Tor.
Due to the renovation, there will be restrictions on late-night traffic on the U3 and U6 lines from Saturday, June 25th to Sunday, August 7th and all day on Sundays.
From Monday to Thursday, the underground lines U3/U6 must be interrupted from 10:30 p.m., on weekends from Saturday around 9 p.m. and all day Sunday.
In the Odeonsplatz – Marienplatz – Sendlinger Tor – Goetheplatz section, a shuttle train runs every 15 minutes.
The U3 is interrupted between Odeonsplatz and Goetheplatz.
It runs every 10 minutes between Moosach and Odeonsplatz, and every 15 minutes between Goetheplatz and Fürstenried West.
The U6 is interrupted between Münchner Freiheit and Implerstraße.
It runs every 10 minutes between Garching Research Center and Münchner Freiheit as well as between Implerstraße and Klinikum Großhadern.
