The transgender home of the richest man in the world, Elon Musk, has formally applied to change her name because "I do not want to be more attached to my biological father in any way."
The application was filed in a court in Santa Monica, California, a few weeks ago in which the daughter sought to change her name from Javier Alexander Musk to another name that was not allowed to be published.
She also sought to change her gender definition from male to female, as revealed in court documents published on PlainSite.org.
The daughter was born to Musk and his ex-wife Justin Wilson about 18 years ago.
It is not clear what is the background to the overt rift between the daughter and Musk, but it is possible that his attacks against the progressives in the US, which among other things call for openness in the field of gender reassignment and the declaration of transgender rights, contributed to this rift.
Musk recently said he "fully supports trances, but all uses of body names are an aesthetic nightmare," referring to how to address those who have undergone gender reassignment.
Musk has recently made headlines due to his contacts to acquire Twitter.
Musk is also the CEO of Tesla Autonomous Vehicles. He is also responsible for significant space breakthroughs through SpaceX, in which he began establishing a space tourism venture and the use of multi-purpose rockets.
