Elon Musk's transgender daughter wants to erase her last name to break ties with her father

2022-06-21T12:05:28.358Z

"I do not live nor do I want to be related to my biological father in any way," says the 18-year-old girl, in the documents in which she requests to change her gender identity

"I do not live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way."

This is how emphatically one of the daughters of Elon Musk has expressed, who has filed a petition to change her name and surname in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, located in the town of Santa Monica (United States).

The young woman, who has recently turned 18, requests a name change for her as well as a new birth certificate that reflects her new gender identity.

A request that she made last April, and that has now transpired.

Xavier Alexander Musk recently reached the age of majority, at which point the State of California allows a person to carry out this procedure.

The daughter of the owner of Tesla and SpaceX asks the court to change her gender from male to female and to be registered with her new name.

She hasn't publicly disclosed it, but according to

celebrity

website TMZ, her new name is Vivian Jenna Wilson, so she would take the last name of her mother, writer Justin Wilson.

The official reason she gives in the documents reads: "Gender identity and the fact that I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form."

The reasons why the young woman wants to break all ties with her father have not transpired, and the tycoon, very active on Twitter (a social network that is in the process of buying for 44,000 million euros) has not commented on the matter either.

Neither the lawyers representing Musk nor the Testla communication department have responded to the Reuters agency regarding this family dispute.

“I absolutely support trans, but all these pronouns are an aesthetic nightmare,” he tweeted in 2020. Also, last May, about a month after the young woman legally requested a name change, Musk declared his support for the Party. Republican, whose elected representatives support legislative changes that would limit the rights of transgender people in the United States.

Musk, considered the richest man in the world (with a fortune valued at 219,000 million euros, according to

Forbes

) is the father of seven children.

Born in April 2004, the young woman is one of the five children that Musk had with the writer Justine Wilson, with whom he was married from 2000 to 2008. In addition, he has two other children with the singer Grimes, with whom he began his relationship in 2018 and from which he separated last September.

One of the little ones was in the media spotlight when his two parents announced that he would be called X Æ A-12, a name that they were forced to change shortly after because the State of California does not allow numbers in names.

"I love all my children very much," he tweeted on June 19, Father's Day in the United States.

Despite his constant messages on this social network, Musk does not share images of his private life or his children, and there is no evidence that he has an Instagram account either.

At many of the social events — like the last Met gala — he is often accompanied by his mother, the model Maye Musk.

Instead, his relationship with his father is rather cold and strained.

In a recent interview with Errol Musk, he confirmed that he has not seen his son for six years.
