Two people were arrested for the brutal murder of Massimo Deidda, the 63-year-old farmer found dead last night on his land in the Aureddus district, in Gergei in southern Sardinia, where he lived.
At the moment the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Nuoro and of the Compagnia di Isili maintain the utmost confidentiality and do not provide any confirmation.
They worked all night to reconstruct the last hours of the farmer's life and to identify the alleged perpetrators.
Two people had already been taken to the barracks last night to be heard.
Then the arrest was triggered and the two are already in prison in Uta.
The 63-year-old's body,
beaten with sticks
, many of which to the head, was discovered shortly before 21. Probably the alarm was triggered by family members who, not seeing him return home, were worried.
The carabinieri, the magistrate Alessandro Pili and the coroner, Roberto Demontis, immediately arrived on the spot.
In a short time, the investigation focused on
two people with whom the 63-year-old allegedly had a violent argument
.
A quarrel, like others that had occurred in the past over
grazing and neighborhood problems
between neighboring lands, which then degenerated.
