: At their meeting in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, the G20 states want to discuss, among other things, a long-term pandemic fund in order to be able to react better to mass diseases in the future.
Five countries and the European Union, which Ukraine is currently pushing into, had already pledged around $1.1 billion for the fund.
The spokeswoman for the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Nadia Tarmizi, said according to the

: "Our goal is for all G20 countries to pledge contributions to the fund because we want to mobilize 15 billion dollars." Indonesia has the G20 presidency this year.
The consultations had already started on Monday with a meeting of the health ministers of the G20 countries.
The head of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, also attended the gathering.
He warned in clear words against considering the corona pandemic over.
The WHO chief said: "The perception that the pandemic is over is misplaced," adding that there are concerns that "a lack of corona testing and sequencing is blinding us to the development of the virus."
