Takht Ravanchi pointed out that his country recognizes Syria's legitimate right to defend itself in accordance with international law and the Charter of the United Nations, saying: "We ask the Security Council to renounce its double standards, condemn Israel's aggressive actions openly, and hold this rebellious entity accountable for its aggressions and aggressive practices."
Takht Ravanchi referred to the situation and developments in Syria and said: “Eleven years of aggression, occupation and terrorism have caused great problems for the Syrian people, and this situation has been exacerbated by imposing unilateral sanctions on the Syrian people, which impeded the implementation of Security Council Resolution No. 2585, the provision of basic services and the reconstruction efforts. Takht Ravanchi explained that the sanctions imposed on Syria have hindered even the delivery of humanitarian aid in various ways and delayed the return of refugees and displaced persons to Syria, pointing out that these illegal measures have weakened the ability of the Syrian government to achieve economic and social stability, as well as improving the living conditions of the Syrian people.
