Iranian security forces have arrested a spy cell working for the Israeli "Mossad" in the province of Sistan and Baluchestan, southeast of Iran, whose members were planning to assassinate nuclear scientists.
The Iranian "IRNA" news agency quoted the Prosecutor of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Mahdi Shamsabadi, as saying in a press statement today that "agents of the Israeli intelligence service (Mossad) who were preparing to assassinate the country's nuclear scientists were arrested in a complex intelligence operation after 8 months of careful monitoring." .
Shamsabadi indicated that many documents were seized in the possession of the terrorists proving their involvement in their criminal schemes, indicating that the case is now in the preliminary investigation stage, and the indictment will be issued and sent to the court soon.
On the 20th of last April, the Iranian Intelligence Department in Sistan and Baluchistan announced the arrest of 3 Mossad agents, according to a judicial order, for publishing confidential information and documents.
