Iranian threats to Israeli tourists in Turkey

The Jewish state warns its nationals traveling in this country against the risk of attacks orchestrated by Tehran.


Israel fears a wave of attacks against its nationals in Turkey.

The authorities are convinced that Tehran wants to target tourists in revenge for the series of recent assassinations of regime officials in Iran blamed on the Jewish state.

The alert has been front-page news for a week.

The alleged threat worries the Israeli government, but also Turkey, which fears that an attack will weigh down a tourist sector damaged by the Covid crisis and tarnish its image as a “safe” destination.

It comes as the two countries have resumed language after a long period of estrangement.
