The Russian Foreign Ministry considered that the continued supply of weapons to the regime forces in Kyiv by the European Union and its member states is unacceptable.
The ministry quoted Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko as saying in a statement during his meeting with the head of the European Union delegation in Moscow, Markus Ederer, that "it was confirmed that the weapons are being used to bomb the civilian infrastructure of Donbass, killing civilians and children."
The statement added, "In particular, attention was drawn to the complete disregard for these facts on the part of the European Union, and the current issues on the international and other regional agendas were also addressed."
On the other hand, the Russian Foreign Ministry handed Idirer a strongly worded protest note regarding the application of unilateral anti-Russian restrictions on the transit of goods between the Kaliningrad region and the rest of the Russian Federation, according to the ministry, in a statement on its website.
The statement demanded the immediate restart of the Kaliningrad transit line, vowing to take retaliatory measures in the event of failure to respond, pointing out that such actions that violate the legal and political obligations of the European Union and lead to an escalation of tension are not permissible.
