Politics is the art of timing.

Choosing the right moment for the big spin that will change the balance of power in your favor, or embark on a dramatic move, can determine whether you will succeed or fail.

It was not economic considerations that led to the election, but political reality.

But the timing of the dissolution of the coalition is the most convenient economic point in time that its members, especially those in charge of managing the Israeli economy, could have chosen.

The reality is very explosive now.

The "rental encampment" is spreading to more and more cities in Israel, but is still in its infancy.

There has not yet been the big demonstration that will ignite the next protest, with protests of their nature being flammable that is very difficult to put out, and the number of tent dwellers relatively small.

It is possible that thousands more will join it, only that during an election it is possible to protest, but there is no one against whom.

On the other hand, a party that knows how to ride the wave, will become the next "all of us" and take care of a really fair rental law and not just a collection of empty words on paper, will be able to rake in quite a few angry voters.

Along with rental prices, housing prices are also breaking records.

Data from the Central Bureau of Statistics released a few days ago show that they are on a moderating trend, but no one is running to take out a mortgage, not just because of a rip-off, but for fear of not being able to meet the repayments.

Raising interest rates in the economy and the end of the cheap money era, which rained down on us during the corona period from helicopters, is giving its signals.

People do fly themselves to know abroad, but are entering the Uber draft that will rise in the coming months under the auspices of the governor.

No government wants to be signed to a recession. 150,000 unemployed in Israel do not bode well, even though hundreds of thousands of working hands are missing. Even in high-tech, layoffs have begun. Prices in the supermarket keep rising, too, and every plum weighs in gold.

No explanation for his economic situation was accepted.

The finance minister can explain from now until next year that this is a global phenomenon: that oil prices around the world are breaking the graphs, that supply chains have been damaged due to transportation problems, the corona, the war in Ukraine and the weather.

That it is difficult for all countries to import the quantities of food they need, in some there is no wheat, in others there is no oil, which is why everything is so expensive.

That we have nothing to complain about, but on the contrary - our situation is golden.

Our inflation is 4.1% a year, while in the US it is close to 8.6%.

The small citizen, the one who scratches the minimum wage from above, or pays almost half of his taxes to the state, it is not interesting. The house raises his rent, the bill is insane and for him there is only one culprit. The government. Let everyone break his head there and let him live like a man.
