This is what is called a nice sweep.
The whole question being whether it will be enough to put a real halt to drug trafficking, which poisons the lives of the inhabitants of the White City, located astride Noisiel and Champs-sur-Marne.
More precisely at the foot of the buildings of the Square Saint-Hubert and the Square du Gerfaut, where the lookouts do not hide.
It was last week that police officers from the Noisiel agglomeration police station and those from the Seine-et-Marne departmental security arrested twelve men, including a minor, aged 17 to 31.
All suspected of "animating" - to varying degrees - cannabis resin trafficking, which supplied some 300 consumers a day, likely to benefit from deliveries.
If one of them was exonerated, the others were all brought before an examining magistrate of the court of Meaux, who indicted them for drug trafficking.
Six of them were placed in pre-trial detention by a judge of freedoms and detention, late Friday evening, while the other five were placed under judicial supervision.
"The turnover of this traffic is estimated at an amount of between one and two million euros", indicated the deputy prosecutor Hervé Tétier, requesting the incarceration of the defendants, to avoid "the consultation and the reiteration of the facts ".
A historic place of sale
Me Jean-Louis Granata, the lawyer for one of them, had tried to get his client – a 22-year-old suspected of managing this point of the deal – to be placed under judicial supervision: “We put in before a structured organization but the bottom of this business, it is not what interests us this evening.
We talk to you about consultation with the other protagonists?
But apart from the miner, they're all in the same cell at the depot.
It was the same in police custody.
What do you think they're talking about?
Well, what happens to them!
Consultation, I'm not going to tell you that it doesn't exist since it has already taken place!

Investigations by police officers from the Noisiel agglomeration police station began at the end of November 2021, after the arrest of two men in possession of narcotics, Cours des Deux-Parcs, in Noisiel.
This led to the identification of the alleged manager of the Saint-Hubert-Gerfaut deal point and the start of a long-term investigation.
Physical surveillance, telephone tapping, geolocation and real-time car sound system: the investigators – helped from January by their colleagues from the Departmental Security – had to carry out patient and meticulous work around this historic point of sale.
This is because the drug traffickers – who benefit from an architectural configuration that facilitates their trade – were particularly cautious and wary.
During the searches, the investigators had also discovered four GPS beacons and a beacon detector!
While the police seized a small amount of narcotics – about 200 grams of cannabis resin – they found boxes containing tens of thousands of packaging sachets, not to mention a banknote counter and 7-gauge cartridges, 65, which seems to demonstrate the extent of the traffic.
In the days preceding the arrests, strong tensions had opposed traffickers from this deal point with their "competitors" who work a few hundred meters away.
A sector which experienced a tragedy in April 2021, with the execution of a 26-year-old man in the middle of the street, by two men perched on a motorcycle.
