The Syrian Youth Orchestra, led by musician Ali Ahmed, revived this evening the first evening of the “Long Live Music” festival at Al-Azem Palace in Old Damascus on the occasion of World Music Day, which continues until next Thursday.
The orchestra presented a variety of eastern and western instruments, such as the music of the famous international series “Game of Thrones,” in addition to pieces from the Syrian and Lebanese heritage.
The night of the second day is lit by the performances of the Sada Al-Ward choir under the supervision of the artist Basil Haddad, while the star band led by the artist Hadi Parsley concludes the nights of the music festival.
It is noteworthy that the “Long Live Music” festival is an annual musical event organized by the General Directorate of Theaters and Music in Damascus, to celebrate the International Day of Music, corresponding to the twenty-first of June, as food for the human soul and the language spoken by all nations.
