The “Pharma Dental” conference, launched by the Junior Chamber International in Lattakia in cooperation with the two branches of the Physicians and Pharmacists Syndicates in the governorate, formed the first phase of an integrated project that addresses a real societal need that contributes to linking graduates of faculties of pharmacy and dentistry to the labor market.

The Governor of Lattakia, Engineer Amer Ismail Hilal, stressed during the opening of the conference its importance in terms of sharing visions and ideas in order to improve the medical system by enhancing the skills of its cadres and providing it with a generation of young people and recent graduates with the competence and knowledge necessary to develop the work environment.

Muhammad Rahabi, the local president of the International Junior Chamber in Latakia 2022, told SANA Youth: The conference aims to reduce the gap between the labor market and academic education for pharmacists and dentists, and to link the university to the community, as well as an opportunity for attendees to interact and exchange experiences.

 Aya Al-Qadi, the local vice president of the Lattakia Chamber 2022, explained that the project consists of three phases, including the conference, which is a communication space to discuss challenges and see the most important developments. He pointed out that most of the advanced medical equipment imported by companies operating in Syria is modern and does not exist in clinics, and that universities are not able to provide them to train students, so these companies are keen to attend such conferences and hold free training sessions in cooperation with universities to keep students and doctors informed of the latest What the technology has come up with.

Dr. Maysam Khaddam, who holds a Ph.D. in dentistry from Paris V University in France, a teacher at the Faculty of Dentistry, head of the Department of Dentistry at Tishreen University, and a teacher at the Faculty of Dentistry at Al-Sham Private University, stressed the importance of this event, which has a lot of scientific and practical benefit for young fresh graduates.
