Protest in the Gießen district.

At Bosch in Lollar, the workers are defending themselves against the threat of salary cuts.

Lollar - 120 workers at the foundry in Lollar (Giessen district) protested in front of the factory gate on Monday (June 20).

They are fighting against the threat of significant salary cuts against the background of the announced sale of their company, Robert Bosch Lollar Guss GmbH, by the Bosch Group, as reported by giessener-allgemeine.de.

The works council fears that large sums could be saved at the expense of the employees in order to close a financing gap before the sale and thus appear more attractive to a potential investor.

Car brake discs are mainly produced in Lollar.

Negotiations were held yesterday between the works council and the group.

According to information from this newspaper, there is an interested party who could take over all three locations of Bosch's foundry division in Lollar, Breidenbach and Ludwigshütte.

The Bosch Group announced in July 2021 that the division was up for sale.

Bosch employs 900 people in the division, around 260 in Lollar.
