Player Rayan Faisal Abu Ajram benefited greatly from the experience of his father, the former champion and the current Karate coach, to win many bright medals at the governorate and republic levels.
In a statement to SANA, 11-year-old Abu Ajram mentioned how he started training under his father in 2017, and won first place in his first championship at the level of As-Suwayda Governorate for the category of under 8 years, weighing under 20 kg, to achieve third place in the collective kata in the Republic Championship and recently the second place in the Republic Championship In Hama in individual combat for the weight of under 31 kg for the category of under 12 years.
In words that bear the innocence of childhood, Abu Ajram said: “I joined this sport because I love it and I used to go with my father to the training hall before entering it officially, which encouraged me to be one of its players,” referring to the support he received from his family and the role of his father in discovering his talent and working to refine it and qualify him to participate in tournaments.
Striving for the best. This is what Abu Ajram always aspires to, through his perseverance in training, his commitment to his father’s advice and instructions, and his keenness to develop his level to serve his ambitions to reach the ranks of the national team, represent his country in foreign tournaments, and raise the national flag high there.
Abu Ajram, who is affiliated with the Al-Arabi Club in Sweida, finds that karate contributes to strengthening the player’s personality and enhances his self-confidence and spirit of competition, advising his peers to practice it, especially with the presence of a wide base for the game in his club and other clubs.
According to Rayan's father, coach Faisal Abu Ajram, his son is a talented player who has drawn attention since the first tournament in which he participated. He is distinguished by his speed of absorption, balance on the rug, strength of character and determination to win. He is also talented in the football game that he is currently playing in the club's small groups.
