At least 14 migrants were rescued from a train car in Robstown, Texas, after a 911 call for help Monday afternoon, local authorities reported.
Robstown Mayor Gilbert Gomez said one of the migrants trapped in the car called authorities to alert them to the situation and ask for help.

Paramedics treated the 14 migrants for possible dehydration, local station 12 News reported.
However, the Robstown City Police did not elaborate on the condition in which the migrants were found or their current health status.
Nor did he identify them by name, national origin or age.

The thermometer in Robstown marked temperatures as high as 98 degrees Fahernheit (36 Celsius).
Border Patrol also responded to the scene and is investigating the case as a possible human smuggling operation.
