Today, at the headquarters of the Syrian embassy in Lebanon, a solidarity meeting with Syria was held to condemn the recent Zionist aggression on some points south of Damascus and to affirm Syria's support in its confrontation with American, Zionist and Turkish terrorism.
The attendees affirmed that “the meeting today is not only to condemn the aggression, but to condemn the shameful international silence that claims to defend human rights and others,” stressing that Syria would not have been targeted by this conspiracy for more than eleven years had it not been for its patriotic and nationalist stances and its defense of the Palestinian cause and the Arab resistance.
For his part, the Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdel Karim affirmed Syria's adherence to its unity and sovereignty and its right to liberate its land from occupiers and terrorists, pointing out that the recent Zionist aggression came to the aid of terrorism that defeated the Syrian people and army.
It is noteworthy that the meeting was held at the invitation of the Lebanese national parties, forces and personalities, the Civil Campaign to Support Palestine and the Nation’s Issues, and in the presence of former Minister Haj Mahmoud Qamati, Vice President of the Political Council of Hezbollah and General Coordinator of the Civil Campaign, Maan Bashour, and a large crowd of representatives of Lebanese and Palestinian parties, factions and associations.
