The Korean Consulate website announced that from 0:00 a.m. on July 1 (Korean time), holders of Hong Kong SAR passports and British National Overseas (BNO) passports will be able to enter visa-free.
However, before entering South Korea, you must apply for a "K-ETA" and obtain a permit before you can board an aircraft or ship heading to South Korea.
"K-ETA" must be applied for on the website, and the application will be accepted as soon as 0:00 a.m. on June 30 (Korean time).
After the application is successful, it is valid for two years and can be used repeatedly during the period. The application fee is 10,000 won, which is about HK$60.
However, the announcement did not mention the daily limit on the number of applicants.

As for those who entered Hong Kong before July, they still need to apply in person at the Korean consulate in Hong Kong according to the current regulations. The time is from 9:00 am to 11:30 am from Monday to Thursday. No appointment is required, and only face-to-face applications are accepted.
The number of applicants per day is limited to 30, and the visa can only be used for one entry.
