The branch of the Syrian Grain Corporation in Raqqa Governorate continues to receive the wheat crop from farmers for the current season.

During a tour of the Governor of Raqqa, Abdul Razzaq Khalifa, to the receiving center in the Sabkha area, he confirmed in a statement to SANA reporter the government’s support for wheat farmers by providing fertilizers, seeds, fuel and irrigation, in addition to the remunerative price that was set for purchase, noting that all those concerned with the marketing process were directed to provide facilities Necessary for farmers during the delivery of the crop.

In turn, the director of the branch of the Syrian Grain Foundation, Dr. Abdul Karim Al-Jassem, indicated in a similar statement that the marketing centers that began receiving wheat since the beginning of this month are witnessing a turnout from farmers, as the Foundation has equipped 3 permanent centers to receive wheat, which is the Debsi Afnan center in the western countryside of Raqqa dedicated to receiving stagnant wheat 9000 tons were received, and two centers in Al-Sabkha and Ma’adin in the eastern countryside of Raqqa are designated to receive the sacked wheat, and 6000 tons were received.

Al-Jassem indicated that the branch of the institution took all measures to facilitate the receipt of the crop from the farmers in terms of preparing the open yards to receive the mixed grain, calibrating the domes, preparing laboratories and forming committees, in addition to protection measures.
