As-Suwayda-Sana
The branch of the Syrian Trade Corporation in As-Suwayda started today running mobile cars loaded with quantities of vegetables and fruits to the neighborhoods of the city of As-Suwayda.
The director of the Foundation’s branch, Rabie Ghanem, told SANA’s reporter that the cars were started from Al-Jihad neighborhood, Masaken Al-Khader, to include the rest of the neighborhoods, successively, during the coming days, within the framework of positive intervention and in a way that eases the burdens of movement for citizens to obtain their needs of vegetables and fruits.
He pointed out that the car sent to Al-Jihad neighborhood included a variety of vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, eggplant, onions, potatoes, beans, cabbage, flower and corn, in addition to watermelon and cantaloupe at discounted prices from the market.
He also indicated that the branch of the institution hired 10 tons of red watermelons from farmers in the western countryside of the governorate, in implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection by direct marketing and breaking the mediation cycle between the farms and the institution, in addition to sending quantities to the institution’s branch in Damascus to provide them in the halls there at reasonable prices.
