In its announcement, it was stated that the Histadrut will continue to impose sanctions on kindergartens, elementary schools and studios "until a concrete proposal from the Ministry of Finance is made."
Yaffa Ben-David, Secretary General of the Teachers' Union, said that "this is an emergency and a tangible danger to the future of the State of Israel, only a wage agreement will prevent the abandonment that leads to the collapse of the education system.
"I call on the Minister of Finance, Avigdor Lieberman, to come in person and sit down with the Minister of Education, the director general of the ministry, the person in charge of salaries and with me - tomorrow (Wednesday), and not wait until Sunday. We are ready to sit down until white smoke comes out."
But in various forums of teaching staff, and also in conversations with them, there is now talk of fear of erosion in the much support they received at the beginning of the struggle, including the great demonstration in Tel Aviv.
"In my opinion, these disruptions do not contribute anything other than that they establish the parents on us," says an elementary school teacher.
She said, "Obviously I want wages to go up, and there are ways to fight, but a two-hour break in the morning brings nothing but parent designers. I and many others like me feel the public is losing interest in the fight, and support for us is no longer so great. They hurt everyone and they will not produce anything. "
