"Someone knocked on my window and told me, 'You lost money,'" Boogie Batomanek described encountering the gang members in Herzliya. The suspicions - and was released on bail a few days later

Are you exchanging money for a change?

You should be careful:

Recently, a Colombian gang has been stealing money in the Central and Sharon area.

This is how the method works: while you are in change one of the gang members is watching you.

When you are on your way back to the car he reports to the squad members.

One of them scatters money next to the car, knocks on the window and says that you have dropped bills.

You get out of the car to pick up the bills and meanwhile another gang member opens the car door, steals the money you exchanged and runs away.

This is what happened recently to Boogie Batmunk from Herzliya.

"I went to Change and exchanged money for a trip abroad," she says. "I exchanged for $ 5,000.

There was someone there looking at me all the time.

I went back out to the parking lot.

I got in the car, moved it and then someone knocked on my window and told me 'you lost money'.

I got out of the car and saw dollars on the floor.

I thought I fell.

He told me, that there is also in the back, under the car.

I bent down to pick up the money and suddenly heard that the car door had been opened.

I immediately realized that they were working on me.

"My bag was in the car and it had the $ 5,000, another NIS 10,000, a passport, a cell phone, an ID card and credit cards."

Batmonk continued: "I ran to the car and saw that the bag had been stolen. I did not see the thief but I saw the guy who said I had money running away. I ran after him and managed to catch him. I shouted at people that he was a thief and they called police. "They are Colombians and this is not the first time they have done this. We went to the police station in Herzliya and filed a complaint. Then we went to one of the shops near the change and took out a video from the security camera, where he is seen throwing money near my car. We brought the video to the police."

Batmunk was therefore forced to postpone its flight.

"I was told to fly to visit my family, but I could not fly because I do not have a passport. They also stole it."

A gang member arrested by police in May was released on bail several days later.

During his interrogation he denied the suspicions against him despite the incriminating video.

He even refused to turn over the rest of the squad.

They have not yet been apprehended.

Police are continuing to investigate the affair.
