The Knesset presidency convened this morning (Tuesday) to approve the addition of the private member's bill to dissolve the Knesset on the agenda.

The coalition aims to advance the dissolution of the Knesset in a quick procedure, to approve the proposal tomorrow in a preliminary reading, on Thursday in the first reading, and to complete the second and third readings next Monday.

The presidency approved by a majority vote to place the private member's bill of MK Boaz Toporovsky and MK Sharan Hashakel, which will be attached to the Likud's bill that was placed on the agenda earlier this week.

Now, the law will go to a vote in the Knesset committee, for approval of an exemption from the discount obligation that will allow the law to be advanced in a speedy procedure.

According to sources in the coalition, Bish Atid wants them to have a bill of their own, so as not to be dependent on the Likud's proposal and to be able to control the continued promotion of legislation in the Knesset.

Earlier today, Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman said he was working to attach the "defendant's law" to a proposal to dissolve the Knesset, which is expected to go to the plenum tomorrow.

"The election is the culprit in going to another election campaign." The election is the result of intrigue and trolling by one man, "Lieberman said at the Eli Horowitz conference on economics and society of the Israel Democracy Institute." The main goal is to prevent him from returning to power.

" To change the political system, "the finance minister continued." The small fringes always know how to blackmail the big parties and prevent political stability. "According to the minister, it is not possible to form a new government in the current Knesset:"

Although I was not sure the government would survive, it was important to convey optimism.

Economics is also psychology.

Even after the next election, if a government is formed, it is necessary to convey optimism. "

This morning, the coalition is examining the possibility of promoting a law that will prevent a criminal defendant from being elected prime minister even before the Knesset is dissolved for the elections.

Justice Minister Gideon Saar also said in an interview with the GLC today that he supports bringing the law to a vote. Coalition sources estimate that the tight schedule may make it difficult to approve the law in three readings until the dissolution of the Knesset, against the background of Foreign Minister Yair Lapid's aspiration to complete the dispersal as early as next week.
