Studies throughout the country will begin this morning (Tuesday) at 10:00, this is the third day in a row.

The sanctions will continue as part of the teachers' struggle to improve their employment conditions.

The teachers' union threatened to continue the strike as long as the Ministry of Finance does not meet their demands, and will enter into negotiations with them soon.

The sanctions will include kindergartens, elementary schools and studios. As usual,

the Histadrut issued a statement stating that "the Teachers' Union continues to impose sanctions until a concrete proposal is made by the Ministry of Finance and calls on the Minister of Finance, Avigdor Lieberman, not to wait until Sunday, but to enter into serious and honest negotiations this Wednesday, with the participation of the Ministry of Education."

"We have been negotiating with the finance officials for six months, but we have not yet received even one concrete proposal," the secretary general of the Teachers' Union, Yaffa Ben-David, said yesterday.

"I hope that the Minister of Finance, Avigdor Lieberman, will use all his weight on the finance officials to end the crisis. I call on him to come in person and sit down with the Minister of Education, the director general of the ministry, the salary commissioner and me - as early as next Wednesday."

"We are ready to sit until white smoke comes out and expect that on Wednesday the Ministry of Finance will finally come up with salary tables and concrete proposals for salary increases for all teaching staff in the civil service," she continued. ".

On Saturday night, Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman addressed disputes with the Teachers' Union.

He said he would not reach an agreement with the organization that he did not see as the most appropriate agreement.

"It can not be that they come to me for a negotiation room and first of all they want to bring down two issues," he said.

Lieberman emphasized that for him, an agreement will not be signed until agreements are reached on issues that are essential for him - the series on teachers' holidays and the issue of excellence and bonuses for talents in the education system.

"I believe we will reach agreements and do everything we can to reach agreements," the minister continued.

"I appreciate Yaffa Ben-David and Ran Erez, but it is unnecessary to attack finance officials. The budget for education is more than the security, it is the highest it has ever been. In the education system the most important component is the quality of the teacher - if you have a good teacher you know you will get good students. "The highest grades. Investing in a teacher will bring good people from high-tech into the field, and that will not happen with collective agreements."
