Tomorrow, Wednesday, the activities of the 42nd International Flower Show, organized by the Ministry of Tourism in cooperation with the Governorate of Damascus, will be held in Tishreen Park in Damascus, and will include various artistic, recreational and cultural activities.

In a statement to SANA, the Director of Damascus Tourism, Eng. Zuhair Erzurumli, explained that the exhibition includes about 200 internal and external participation, which is equivalent to double the number of participations last year, indicating that the current participations are from 7 governorates, each of which has an independent pavilion in which the products and crafts that are famous and characterized by this governorate, in addition to Posts from 3 Arab countries: Sudan, Iraq and Lebanon.

According to Erzurumli, the exhibition, which will run until the ninth of next July, includes various nurseries, medicinal and aromatic plants, ornamental plants, honey apiaries, food industries, events, cultural and recreational activities, folk arts groups, plays, lyric segments, seminars and educational programs related to plants and flowers, in cooperation with the Ministries of Culture and Education, in addition to a children's play city. And a food pavilion (Food Street).

Erzurumli pointed out that the exhibition aims to introduce the Syrian products of various types of flowers and plants, to promote them internally and externally, and to introduce how to benefit from them industrially.

In turn, a member of the Executive Office in the Damascus Governorate for the Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Sector, Faisal Sorour, indicated that extensive preparations for the exhibition venue have been accomplished by cleaning the Barada River course, maintaining the garden, arranging flowers in it, and installing energy-saving lighting devices (LEDs), noting that the pavilions were distributed in a consistent manner. With the aesthetic of the place and equipping private parking.

During the preparation of their pavilions, a number of participants expressed to SANA the importance of this exhibition for them. Dhafer Hattab, one of those in charge of the work in a nursery, stated that he and his colleagues brought many different types of silhouette plants, succulents, medicinal, aquatic and spherical, and they coordinated them after preparing and preparing their pavilion. Noting that their participation is not the first, as they have been keen to participate in various local and foreign exhibitions for nearly 20 years.

For his part, Bilal Berri, from a company specialized in the manufacture of medicinal and aromatic plant products, explained that during the exhibition they seek to attract the largest possible number of interested people by introducing their cosmetic, nutritional and medical products and the large and distinctive offers that they will offer, in addition to discounts for the families and families of the martyrs and the war-wounded.
