Tonight and tomorrow: Traffic loads are expected in the center due to cargo transportation and change in train traffic Israel today

Main interchanges on roads 4 and 5 in the area will be blocked following the transfer of excess cargo from the port of Ashdod to Tel Aviv.


Prepare for congestion on Road 4 - and for changes in trains:

Roadblocks in the center of the country will be carried out tonight (Tuesday) due to the transport of excess cargo from the port of Ashdod to the Atidim power station in Tel Aviv.

The blockades will be carried out in the next three weeks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

According to a police spokeswoman, starting this week and following the transport of excessive cargo the following roads and interchanges will be blocked for the night hours from 22:00 to 05:00, the transport route as specified will be the same over the next three weeks.

Road 4 from south to north, from the Ashdod North interchange to the Shiva interchange will be closed between 22:00 at night and 05:00 the next day

Road 4 from north to south, from the Yavneh Interchange to the Ashdod Interchange will be blocked between 22:00 at night and 05:00 the next day.

Traffic will be diverted to Route 42

Wednesday 22.06.22


Road 4 from north to south from the Morasha Interchange to the Shiva Interchange, including the interchanges that connect to this road, will be blocked between 22:00 at night and 05:00 the next day.

Those coming from the north of the traffic will be directed to Road 5.

Road 5 from west to east from Glilot to the Morasha interchange will be closed from 22:00 at night until 05:00 the next day.

Traffic will be diverted to Route 20 South.

Road 471 Bar-Ilan Interchange to Road 4 South will be blocked between 22:00 at night and 05:00.

Road 44 from the Beit Dagan junction to the "Tempo" junction will be closed in both directions from 22:00 until the excessive cargo passes.

Traffic will be diverted to Route 412.

Road 1 - The exits from Road 1 to Road 4 South will be blocked between 22:00 at night and until the excess cargo passes.

Traffic will be diverted to Route 4 North

In view of the temporary traffic arrangements, traffic loads are expected at the place. The drivers are asked to be patient, as well as to obey the instructions of the police officers stationed at the place.

Changes in trains as well

Israel Railways has announced temporary changes in train traffic in the Tel Aviv and Sharon area due to the acceleration of electrification works on the section of track between Herzliya and Netanya stations.

Israel Railways continues to accelerate the electricity project, which enables a significant improvement in the railway service through the integration of advanced and green electric trains for the environment.

In preparation for the operation of another electric line, between the Netanya, Tel Aviv, Lod and Rehovot stations, which is expected to open during the current year, Israel Railways will carry out work to connect the section of track between Netanya and Herzliya stations to the railway electricity network.

Due to the works, which require temporary disconnection of electricity in extensive sections in the Sharon area, Herzliya and Tel Aviv, changes in train traffic will apply from Thursday 23.6.22 at 21:00 until Saturday 25.6.22 during all operating hours (inclusive). Thursday 30.6.22 at 21:00 until Saturday evening 2.7.22 during all hours of operation (inclusive).

Train traffic will return to normal every Sunday with the resumption of service.

Details of the changes


• The Herzliya station will be temporarily closed for service on these days and hours.

• Trains on the Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon - Herzliya line will begin and end their journey at the Tel Aviv Savidor Central station and will not stop at the Tel Aviv University and Herzliya stations.

• Trains on the Beer Sheva-Herzliya line - will begin and end their journey at the Tel Aviv Savidor Central station and will not stop at the Tel Aviv University and Herzliya stations.

Trains on the Ashkelon-Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan-Tel Aviv - Herzliya line - which are currently operated by electricity will be operated by diesel trains, and these will begin and end their journey at Raanana West station and will not stop at Herzliya station.

Also depending on the route of travel and the desired departure and destination stations, it may be necessary to change trains for passengers on this line.

The replacement will take place at the Tel Aviv Savidor Center station.

The following trains will not operate


Train number 133, which departs from Nahariya station every Thursday at 20:49 and ends at Modiin station at 23:06, and train number 135, which departs from Nahariya station every Thursday at 21:49 and ends at Ben Gurion Airport at 23:49: 45.
