Despite the great heat of the last few weeks, at the foot of the Matterhorn everything is ready for the start of the summer ski season.
The ski lifts on the Plateau Rosà glacier (3,500 meters), in Switzerland, will open on 25 June.
21 kilometers of slopes are available to skiers in the largest and highest summer resort in Europe, which culminates at 3,883 meters on the Piccolo Cervino.
Furthermore, there are numerous ski champions and national teams who choose Cervinia-Zermatt for their training, thanks to the optimal conditions and slopes reserved for them, but the area is suitable for skiers and snowboarders of all levels;
riders and freestylers have as their point of reference the "Snowpark Zermatt", the largest structure on a glacier of this type.
The summer ski season will end on September 4th.
The lifts are in operation every day from 9 to 14: in the first days the "anchors" Plateau Rosa 1, Grenzlift and Gobba di Rollin will be usable and the return slope at Trockener Steg will be closed.
