Two Ukrainian soldiers surrendered to the Russian military command in Kherson, southern Ukraine, and demanded to join the ranks of the Russian army.
And RIA Novosti news agency reported that the soldiers appealed to the Russian authorities not to hand them over to the Kyiv regime, and expressed their desire to stay in Russia to help its forces in the fight against Nazism, and revealed that they had received a threat of three years in prison for evading military service.
Russian military sources indicated that the fighters of the Ukrainian army and its auxiliary forces continue to voluntarily surrender to the Russian army and resort to the Russian military police at checkpoints, hand over their weapons and pass on information about Ukrainian arms and ammunition depots.
