The tourism portal Tripadvisor has chosen the most beautiful beaches in the world.
These include several destinations in Europe.
Most people probably associate a dream holiday with a paradisiacal beach.
Sun, palm trees, wide white beaches and crystal clear water: all of this characterizes a beautiful beach.
But which are the really most beautiful beaches in the world?
Tripadvisor has listed the top 25 as part of the Travellers' Choice Awards.
Some of them are not even that far away.
The most beautiful beaches in the world: how they were chosen
Tripadvisor's Travellers' Choice Awards are based on traveler ratings and reviews.
A minimum number of reviews and a minimum overall rating
is required to be eligible
.
The last twelve months are taken into account for the awards, so that new winners are chosen every year.
A total of 25 beaches were awarded "Best of the Best" this year.
We present the top places in the following section.
