With the return of tourists, Paris intensifies the hunt for illegal furnished rentals

Flush out fraudsters, educate residents and reassure residents.

These are the missions of the twenty or so agents from the housing and housing department, deployed on this Tuesday morning at the foot of the Montmartre hill (Paris 18th century).

For several hours, they roamed the alleys of the tourist district, looking for apartments that did not comply with the City's rental rules.
