At about 7 pm today (21st), Yuen Long suspected that there was a fire in a CLP cable. Some netizens took a video, pointing out that a cable trough believed to be CLP was on fire outside Long Ping No. 8, and the fire was fierce.
Many netizens pointed out that there were power outages in Tin Shui Wai and Yuen Long, and Tuen Mun Hospital was also affected, causing a major power outage in the hospital.
New Territories North Member of the Legislative Council, Zhang Xinyu, attacked directly outside Long Ping Station. At 8:30 p.m., the fire was still not under control.
Lin Lin, a member of the Legislative Council of the Election Committee who lives in Yuen Long, had an operation earlier and needed to rest. However, the sudden power outage caught her by surprise. She has already spent the night at her family's home in Tsuen Wan.
Zhang Xinyu directly hit the cable outside the Langping Station and caught fire, which was still not put out at 8:30 p.m.

Zhang Xinyu pointed out that the MTR has a backup power supply system, and when an accident occurs on a section of the line, the backup line can be used to supply power.
As can be seen from the picture, there is electricity supply at Long Ping Station and the nearby flyover, but the display screen in the station is turned off, and many MTR personnel maintain order in the station.
The public spaces of residential buildings in the distance normally have lights, and the residents have lights, but some traffic lights have no electricity.
Zhang Xinyu said that when he inquired with CLP employees, the other party was also "very impatient", but he could only wait for the news to put out the fire before emergency repairs.
Zhang Xinyu's team pointed out that the lifts in Tin Shing Village and Tin Yiu Village in Tin Shui Wai were generally normal, but the street lights and traffic lights were not powered on.

Lin Lin: Open the window and there is no wind
Lin Lin, who had undergone surgery earlier, said in an inquiry from "Hong Kong 01" that she originally thought it was the power outage in her home, but later found out that there was no electricity in the whole area, "really everyone is insane."
She said that today is the summer solstice, and her husband originally suggested opening the window to let in the cool breeze, but "there was not a drop of wind", and it was hot and baked.
Lin Lin, who was supposed to rest after the operation, couldn't bear to be driven by her family to her parents' house in Tsuen Wan for the night.
She pointed out that there were many cars leaving Yuen Long on the road, the traffic lights were generally normal, and there was no major problem with road traffic.
