Who is looking for an apartment in Munich - and can do without a bathroom, water and kitchen?

The advertisement for such a basement apartment is currently circulating on Reddit.

Munich – Living in Munich is such a thing.

For a few square meters of space, tenants in the state capital sometimes have to pay absurd amounts of money.

Only those who have yet to find their place to stay – and are confronted with strange offers – are almost worse off.

"Rent a 31 square meter high-quality basement room" begins a particularly curious advertisement for a Munich apartment.

The information that follows in this supposed ad is so absurd that it made it onto the Reddit social media platform.

There she causes a lot of excitement – and laughter.

Munich: Alleged apartment advertisement causes ridicule on the Internet

Even the first glance suggests that the offer promises little seriousness.

The apartment is advertised without a picture and in a few sentences on a DIN A4 sheet of paper.

The narrow section of a map view at least suggests that it is somewhere in Zamdorf.

"Electricity and heating are available," the landlord proudly announces in his advertisement.

The apartment has two important features.

From the point of view of the landlord, that has to be enough.

It is not possible to wash, cook or even go to the toilet in the basement apartment: "There is no bathroom, kitchen or water," says the advertisement.

"Opposite is a Citizen King with toilet": Landlord offers basement apartment without bathroom

A private bathroom would be superfluous in the basement apartment anyway, as the landlord thinks.

Because "opposite is a citizen king with a toilet" - such a bold statement that even a wink smiley can no longer save it.

And the cost of the real estate offering in question with a Citizen King toilet?

A whopping 420 euros all-inclusive rent.

Of course, there is still one condition that prospective buyers must meet in order to be able to move into the unique basement apartment: "The minimum rental period is one month."

The Reddit users smile at the ad, which casts a little doubt on its seriousness.

In particular, the missing toilet and the "Bürger King" alternative is taken up with amusement in dozens of comments.

"You save the toilet paper - if available," says one user.

Another has a suggestion ready to compensate for the lack of cooking facilities: "It's best to work at Burger King right away, then you'll have a kitchen right away."

Reddit users scoff at the brazen offer of housing: “Munich, dude.

Lick my foot"

The fact that the landlord is asking a whopping 420 euros for the basement apartment without a bathroom and kitchen has also met with user reactions.

Many refer to the enormously tense rental situation in Munich.

"Probably not so bad for Munich," says one commentator.

“In Munich you would have 150 applicants within 15 minutes begging you on their knees to get your gift,” another.

Also very meaningful: “Munich, dude.

Kiss my foot."
