It's been a long road: The development of the "South of Graf-Lodron-Strasse" building area in Haag has now started.

The council gave the green light.

Hague

- Extensive soil tests had been carried out on the approximately 12,000 square meter area between Hagenaustrasse and In der Stockwiese.

Landscape architect Albert Schneider recalled that this was necessary because there are deposits of peat, some of which are thick, sloping down from the north.

Special solutions are needed for this sediment to lay the canal and the road.

These were incorporated into the plans.

The access road that runs through the future residential area from north to south will be built “floating”, explained Schneider.

Firm foundations for the road are not possible, because deprivation of water can reduce the stability and volume of peat.

Therefore, builders in the northern part of the residential area, where the thickest layers of peat are located, would have to

forego a basement.

Groundwater lowering could affect the settlement behavior of peat.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Semi-detached and single-family houses are planned.

In the southern area, the municipality is building an apartment building that is also intended for social housing.

According to Mayor Anton Geier, the allocation guidelines for the semi-detached and single houses are based on the local model.

The parcels would be allocated accordingly.

The draft development plan will soon be open to the public

The next step is to make the draft development plan public.

Authorities, representatives of public affairs and citizens then have the opportunity to express themselves.

Overall, the new building area fits into the environment, said the head of the town hall.

It is the last piece of land right in the town center that can be developed.

Further construction projects would then have to be carried out on the outskirts.

Project of the tourism association Hopfenland Hallertau was discussed

Another topic that came up during the meeting was a project submitted to the Council by the Hopfenland Hallertau Tourist Association.

As part of a LEADER project, the association is planning a digital audio tour in which all communities in the Hallertau area could present themselves with an audio contribution.

The councilors found that the costs of 1,000 to 4,000 euros were not insignificant.

Because Hague attractions, such as the Schlossallee, are already present on social media.

The municipal council members did not see any added value in participating in this project, as it was only designed for the tourism sector.

Hence it was rejected.
