Various traditional and traditional songs were presented by Shams Troupe, led by artist Raafat Sobh, on the second day of the celebration of World Music Day on the stage of the Palace of Culture in As-Suwayda city this evening.
The band began its concert with a musical that included a group of extracts to distinguish between the speeds with an eastern and western mix prepared and performed by the musicians Firas Man El Din on the organ, Ammar Jerboa on the flute and Majd Naim on the oud.
The artist Raafat Sobh presented two songs, one of them entitled (Nahna Brook Al-Layl) and the other by the singer Muhammad Abdo (Leila Laila), while Ghaleb Al-Safadi and Lyn Al-Khatib sang the song (Injection We Stop Hadden), after which Al-Khatib performed (Ah Ya Sweet Ya Muslini) and Al-Safadi presented (Karmalek) in When Limar Safadi presented the song "Eh Ghairak" and "Layal Al-Ans" ("Layal Al-Ans").
The choir also presented a group of songs from the governorate's folklore.
In a statement to SANA's reporter, the artist Raafat Sobh pointed out that they tried to present a group of Syrian works of a heritage nature, stressing the importance of celebrating music and art and highlighting artistic talents and presenting them to the public.
The activities of the celebration of World Music Day, organized by the National Theater in As-Suwayda and the Directorate of Theaters and Music, started yesterday at the Culture Palace in the city of As-Suwayda and will continue until the 26th of this month. At the end of the celebration, a winning song was chosen from a jury composed of an elite group of musicians and artists.
