An unusual event in Haifa: A
light plane crashed today (Wednesday) at the city's civilian airport and ended its landing with the plane tilted to the right wing.
The pilot, in his 30s, who performed his solo flight in a civil flight course, was slightly injured and did not need medical attention.
The rescue forces at the airport rushed towards the plane, which was standing on one wing at the end of the runway, and rescued the pilot when he was, as mentioned, healthy and intact.
A spokesman for the Airports Authority who passed on the details of the incident said that an accident investigator from the Ministry of Transport would investigate the circumstances of the crash.
