The commander of the peaceful firefighting unit, Lt. Col. Muhammad Abdul Latif, said in a statement to SANA reporter, “As a result of the high temperatures in the summer and the approaching harvesting of agricultural seasons, we are working to raise the level of readiness to the utmost and intensively, as preventive measures are taken against the dangers of fires,” noting that all equipment has been prepared. Four firefighting vehicles fully equipped with their crews and equipment, ensuring their powers, and closely monitoring the readiness of the firefighting personnel and their speed in responding to any call, and quickly arriving at the site of the fires and controlling them.
In turn, the group’s commander, Baligh Al-Shihawi, explained that a peaceful firefighting unit covers a wide geographical area in Hama governorate, which calls for alerting the unit’s crew around the clock, especially during the harvest seasons that constitute the peak of fire outbreaks. on the livelihoods of farmers who are waiting for their harvest.
For his part, the commander of the group, Mustafa Al-Ahmad, pointed out that the units of the unit are fully prepared throughout the twenty-four hours, and in the event of a fire, the elements are summoned during the break from their homes, even in the middle of the night, noting the efforts of a peaceful firefighting unit that had important achievements in the speed of response and dealing with huge fires And the speed of extinguishing it and reducing its losses during the previous period.
