With the participation of 200 athletes, Ghazwan Abu Zeid Hall in Homs hosted today the International Day of Yoga for Cosmic Peace, which was organized by the Sports for All Federation in cooperation with the branch of the Sports Federation in Homs.
The festival included the presentation of many sports panels on the internationally approved movement protocol, with the participation of athletes of all age groups, as well as athletes of determination.
In statements to SANA, the head of the Sports for All Federation, Thanaa Muhammad, stated that the federation has been organizing this festival since 2015 despite the war, destruction and terrorism that affected people and people in Syria, to assure the world that Syria will remain a country of civilization, history and peace, and that we have a will, explaining that yoga is concerned with all age groups with the aim of Devoting many correct mathematical rules that help a person to give and deal positively and calmly in all life situations.
In turn, Chairman of the Higher Committee for Energy and Yoga, Mazen Issa, indicated that the festival’s message is peace in the universe and the spread of yoga in Syria, where the International Yoga Day Festival is held in many provinces such as Latakia, Damascus and its countryside, Homs and Aleppo, indicating that in Syria there are 42 voluntary centers for yoga training under the supervision of 200 coaches and this is evidence of the widespread spread of this spiritual sport.
The head of the Sports Federation branch in Homs, assigned by Talal Al-Jasser, stated that the festival is a message of love and peace from yoga practitioners to the world, and that this sport is currently gaining popularity and acceptance for its great role in enhancing the feeling of positivity and confidence in the trainee.
President of Al Salam Club for Special Sports Ghassan Abu Salah stated that the participation of his players in this festival for the first time came at the initiative of the Sports for All Federation, and that this participation was good, as the club's players were able to perform many of the movements of this sport in a distinctive style.
