With the new guided tour, the Ammersee Farmer's Theater follows on from the "world premiere" of 2016.

The scenic tours take place every Tuesday this summer on the Herrschinger Promenade.

Herrsching –

When Corona brought social life to a standstill in March 2020, the members of the Ammersee Farmhouse Theater had just rehearsed their texts and were looking forward to the premiere.

Nothing came of it.

Since then they have not been on any stage - except for the digital church tower talk in April last year.

Also this year there will be no premiere on the traditional stage in the Andechser Hof - it is too uncertain that Corona will thwart the plans again in autumn.

But when the ensemble got together two months ago, everyone agreed: "We still have to do something." This resulted in the second "tour of the town", which is initially offered every Tuesday until the end of July, and possibly also afterwards.

The actors are not completely inexperienced with it.

When the Ammersee Farmer's Theater celebrated its 50th anniversary six years ago, there was already a guided tour of the town.

A "world premiere" with Herrschinger Originals in the role of Herrschinger Originale - such as Alexander Tropschug as Kare Nandlinger or Robert Brack as the Stumbaum Toni.

An open-air fun that the ensemble would like to build on - with other characters, on other paths and this time with scenic inserts about historical backgrounds at a total of seven stations.

Everyone contributed something to the texts, the theater group had the historical background provided by community archivist Dr.

To approve Friedrike Hellerer.

Don't worry, history can be funny too.

You can laugh.

On Monday, the actors met for the fourth and final dress rehearsal.

First and foremost Alexander Tropschug as Nepomuk, the stoker on the steamship, and his apprentice Jakob (Jakob Lishek), who obediently follows him on the rickshaw from the first to the last station, from the water rescue station via Seespitz, Ammerseehotel, Dampfersteg, Kurparkschlösschen, Church of the Redeemer to in the beer garden of the Andechser Hof.

Esmeralda (Anja Seitz) takes over the beginning with the story of the three sisters from an old Herrschinger children's book.

A literally fabulous start: the sisters' dispute is said to have led to the formation of the Ammersee.

So where better to tell this story than at the water rescue service.

The first known Herrschinger figure from the past appears at the Seespitz: the singing Rudi Schuricke (Gerd Neumeyer) – buried in 1963 in the Herrschinger cemetery.

At the Ammerseehotel, the former Hotel Steinberger, Master Sergeant Executive Officer Louis II (Stefan Weber) with a great accent ensnares the ladies (Claudia Czasny/Johanna Lishek) and promises them nylon stockings and chewing gum if they come to the room.

Past the last of the once three seaside resorts, Nepomuk's boss, the captain (Dieter Veicht), is already waiting for the visitors at the steamer jetty and has to hear a lot from the fisherwoman (Hanni Göppel).

Mayor and carpenter Benedikt Rehm (Franz Czasny) and Ludwig Scheuermann (Stefan Weber) rant about the past when Herrsching still had 360 residents.

Finally, it is Count Toerring (Robert Brack) who is arguing in the Andechser Hof beer garden with the managing director (Monika Jäger) of the Schondorf machine manufacturer Ritter von Maffei about the railway connection.

As is well known, the latter resigned and left his company to the state in 1907 for 110,000 marks.

Count Toerring in the local tour takes Maffei's employee in a reassuring arm: "Then just come to me."

As a fisherwoman, Hanni Göppel is in a dispute with the captain (Dieter Veicht) – stoker Nepomuk can mediate.

In 2016, the Herrschinger amateur actors gathered up to 120 interested people around them.

"We almost had to register that," Tropschug reflects briefly and laughs, "that had the character of a demonstration." Many people from Herrsching joined the actors and enriched the walk through the town with anecdotes.

This time, with scenic performances and along the lake shore, the concept is a bit different, but the path between the stations leaves room.

And Tropschug – as the king of Herrsching practiced improvising with the volleyball players – gladly accepts “balls”.

"Tour of Herrsching"

every Tuesday, in any case until the end of July.

It always starts at 7 p.m. at the water rescue station in Herrsching behind the Herrsching sailing club.

Only in dry weather. Interested parties are asked to pay attention to the information on the website of the amateur theater group: www.ammerseer-bauerntheater.de.

Participation in the guided tours is free.

Of course, the ensemble welcomes donations.
